A soldier has died following a tragic fall from a horse during the Royal Windsor Horse Show in the United Kingdom, an incident that has prompted condolences from Buckingham Palace and an ongoing investigation by authorities.
The soldier, a member of the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, fell while performing at the event on Friday evening. Emergency medical personnel responded immediately and provided treatment at the scene, but the individual was pronounced dead shortly afterward. Officials confirmed that the soldier’s next of kin have been informed.
Charles III expressed being “deeply shocked and saddened” by the death, according to a Buckingham Palace spokesperson. The King also indicated he would personally reach out to the family to offer condolences during this difficult time.
